Now site of Country Park

After coal mining ceased at Baggeridge in 1968, the north-eastern area of the former colliery site became Baggeridge Brick, a brickworks established on the reclaimed land. The Baggeridge Brickworks operated until its demolition in 2012, after which the site was redeveloped for housing, small commercial units, and a care home.
