The London Lead Company Mine in the Howden Burn valley was reopened in 1971-1972 by SAMUK to search for fluorspar reserves along the Cornish Hush and Sharnberry Veins. They never reached the latter. The grid reference locates the Low Level, with the Upper Level at NY99893339.
