Later Part Of Wendron United? An ancient tin mine positioned atop Boswin Down, approximately half a mile northeast of Porkellis Chapel, holds scant remnants today. The site primarily features heavily overgrown and extensive deep costean pits and gullies along the lode’s outcrop. Balcoath lode, once active here, was later exploited by the neighboring Boswin mine. Notably, in 1792, this mine held significant importance, boasting one of Cornwall’s earliest Bull engines.
