Small quarry face includes a cutting access. Older saw-ends are hand-sawn while newer ones are circular-sawn. The tip is neatly revetted. A small unusual slab on site may have been associated with the portable machinery.
The nearby railway was not utilized, likely because the quarry’s modest output did not justify building an access bridge. Work took place during the 1920s, possibly using a portable sawing machine.
