Operated by working two ENE-trending lodes, known as Black Pepper Lode and Elcombe Lode, within greisenized granite. Mining was conducted through several open pits, although many of these pits are now submerged. From 1882 to 1885, the mine yielded a total of 64 tons of black tin.
