A shaft remains mapped within overgrown woodland at SJ 0830 8090, while a second shaft can be found in the woodland on the slopes of Gop Hill at SJ 0870 8050. Another shaft is located at the edge of woodland at SJ 0685 7975.

The landscape also contains a series of natural caves, including the Gop Hill caves and cairn, which are now recognized as a Scheduled Ancient Monument.

The area around Gop Farm and Gop Hill has a history of lead mining, with evidence dating back to at least the 13th and 14th centuries, as indicated by surviving lease records. The 1st edition Ordnance Survey map marks a disused lead mine at SJ 0830 8090, within the Gop Farm area, suggesting mining activity took place there in earlier periods. Gop and Dyserth Castle (SJ 060 799) were likely exploratory workings operated by the same company.
