One of the few working mines left in the Forest. The mine works the Yorkley seam via two drifts, one of which is through the rear doors of an old box van and the other and old water tank. The coal comes out in tubs and is tipped into the yard where it can be bagged and sent away.
There is much mining equipment rusting away in the yard .
