Crenver & Wheal Abraham, also known as Abraham Consols, is situated in Crowan Parish southwest of Camborne. It encompasses the smaller mines of Wheal Sarah, Great Drym Consols, and Oatfield Mine. The large sett, located approximately one and a quarter miles east of Leedstown, can be divided into three distinct sections. The Wheal Sarah section lies to the west, the former Great Drym Consols workings are in the center, and Oatfield Mine is situated to the south and east.

Mining activities at the site date back to around 1815, primarily focusing on copper extraction. Records indicate that between 1815 and 1832, and from 1845 to 1870, the mine produced 112,500 tons of 7% copper ore, along with 960 tons of black tin. While there are reports of silver and lead production, precise figures are not available at this time.

The mine worked the Main Lode and North Lode from several shafts, including Pelly’s, Gard’s, Yate’s, William’s, Richard’s, Blewitt’s, Vivian’s, Woolf’s, St. George’s, Oatfield, Hoskin’s, Crenver, and Pressure (or Trenoweth) Shafts. Oatfields Mine was merged into Crenver & Wheal Abraham around 1864.
