Shafts and horse whim circle. Also older and shallower workings.
The Eisteddfod Mountain Sett likely included some of the earlier mining activities in the area. By the late 19th century, a large mining company operated in this region, reporting significant returns. According to Burt et al. (1992), the NGR provided for this sett is in close proximity to both the Eisteddfod Mine and the Twelve Apostles Sett.
A large shaft and horse whim circle remain at SJ 2529 5253, with a second large shaft located nearby at SJ 2539 5250. Other workings in the area are believed to be older and shallower. The company also worked the Boundary Sett from 1880 onward. Additionally, Minera Consols, which operated between 1872 and 1882, appears to have included the workings of the Twelve Apostles, while West Minera (1881–1882) worked in the same area at SJ 2540 5250.
