2 ancient opencuts, one up to 50m deep - very tight in places. Shaft to the north now capped with concrete.
The mines on Calver Peak are recorded as having their waste tips reworked in the 1570s, showing that the mines were significantly earlier in origin. The area was reworked in the 20th century for fluorspar.
