The mining site was primarily focused on extracting tin and arsenic, with the dumps being reworked in 1915-1916. Described as compact, it sits snugly between the river and the elevated ground behind it. Despite heavy overgrowth, two wheelpits and some buildings still stand. The rock dumps, though obscured, contain small mineral samples, particularly from the modest red burnt tailings dumps.
Initially, arsenic ores were processed at Tavy Consols for calcining, with some of the resulting sand returned for tin stamping.
