Site is fenced with no public access. Outside this main fenced area there is a separately fenced area where there remains a rock cut quarrymans shelter. However, the shelter is behind WWII additions, when it was used as an air-raid shelter, and bricked up.

Marked as ‘old quarry’ on 1st edition Ordnance Survey maps so out of use by the mid 1880s. Typical red sandstone surface working for building stones. All older buildings and boundaries around this area are red sandstone and brick. Site used for an artesian well and Water Utility Company use remains.
