Tea rooms, other shops on site. Main features are:

• The New Yard. A base for carpenters, engineers, joiners etc. supporting the village’s coal and iron works.
• Elsecar Ironworks - A former rolling mill.
• The Earl’s Great Engine at the nearby Elsecar New Colliery. An in situ Newcomen steam engine classified as a scheduled sncient monument in 1973.

Elsecar village was one of the UKs first model village.
