This mine, initially established as Wheal Sisters in 1833, underwent a name change to Wheal Fortune before becoming part of Harrowbarrow Mine. It operated on the eastern extension of the Wheal Brothers Lode, with two shafts located just west of Harrowbarrow village. Today, several small dumps can still be found in the fields north of the dirt track road leading to Wheal Brothers Wood. Although known to have produced lead, copper, and possibly some silver, there are no precise records of its output. An isolated shaft in a field northwest of Rising Sun cottage, believed to be sunk on the western extension of the Prince of Wales main lode, was mistakenly associated with this mine by Dines (1956).
