The level, initially established as a crosscut below the Quarry Hazle, extends to the Lodgefield vein and then follows this vein until it intersects with the Slitt Vein. While a significant portion of the horse level is accessible, its condition is quite deteriorated. The extensive tips associated with the level are now completely overgrown by trees.
