20ft thick bedded deposit of 35% iron. This bed has been worked in several places on the northern flank of Cadai Idris.

Adits and quarries obscured by forestry.



Year Activity
1861 Large quantities of ore being carted to a specially built quay at Penmaenpool for shipping.
1908-10 12,000 tons of ore mined by the Brymbo Steel Company.
1913 Final closure.
