Located just southwest of Edge End, in the tip of the triangle between two roads, this site is an abandoned free mine. Two corrugated iron sheds, shear legs, a fan, and some mining tackle remain on the surface. The drift entrance has been blocked, and a nearby shaft—5 feet square, stone-lined, and partly capped with a steel plate—is filled almost to the surface.

Other New Found Out Pits are located nearby. One lies at NGR SO 5881 1256 and features a large spoil mound approximately 15 feet high, 45 feet wide, and 100 feet long, with a remnant shaft at its northern end. Another is located just north of the Edge Hill road junction at SO 5925 1315.
