Probable mine tracks can be traced uphill from the village, leading towards three private dwellings and a field with overgrown mounds at coordinates SJ 1730 7100. To the east of the road that ascends to Walwen, grassed-over mounds are visible in fields.
Additionally, a single shaft can be found at SJ 1730 7240, located to the north of Berthen Farm. It is believed that these workings were trial attempts on the Pant-y-nef cross-course Vein.
