Developed along the N-S Brynparade Vein within chert bed containing Carboniferous Limestone. The vein runs almost in line with the Dingle Vein and is located approximately 100 yards south of the Union Vein.

Shafts and spoil mounds, which are dispersed across a large area near the settlements of Windmill and Fron, west of Windmill being particularly dense with abandoned mine shafts.

The mine formed part of a larger mining network, including Pantygo West, Brynparade, and Colossus Mines, which were all worked within the same sett. The site was situated on the Holywell-Halkyn Drainage Tunnel (Milwr Tunnel), constructed by the Holywell-Halkyn Mining and Tunnel Company from 1896 to drain water from the Halkyn Mountain mines.
