Part of Crenver and Abraham. The large sett, located around 1.25 miles east of Leedstown, is divided into three main sections. To the west is Wheal Sarah, while the central area was formerly Great Drym Consols, and to the south and east lies Oatfield Mine. The mine traces back to around 1815, primarily extracting copper, with records indicating production of 112,500 tons of 7% copper ore between 1815-1832 and 1845-1870, along with 960 tons of black tin. Though there were mentions of silver and lead production, exact figures are unavailable. Various shafts were utilized, including Pelly’s, Gard’s, Yate’s, William’s, Richard’s, Blewitt’s, Vivian’s, Woolf’s, St. George’s, Oatfield, Hoskin’s, Crenver, and Pressure (or Trenoweth) Shafts. Oatfields Mine became part of Crenver & Wheal Abraham around 1864.
