Small lead mine whose total production is estimated to be around 117 tons of lead ore. The mine operated from the Metalband shaft, located on the north side of the Tees, with its grid reference provided and marked as a ‘Level’ on the 1:25000 map. The mine accessed small reserves on the Metalband Old and Metalband Sun veins at the Jew Limestone horizon. Currently, the workings and small dumps are entirely covered with grass.
