Wheal Henry was a small tin and copper mine located on the eastern side of the Poldice valley, north of Hale Mills. Its main shaft, Goodluck Shaft, is marked by a large burrow in a field about 300 yards north of Hale Mills. Operating between 1815 and 1847, Wheal Henry produced a total of 1,860 tons of copper ore with an average grade of 8%.
