The mine operated two lodes: North lode, running ENE, situated in the hangingwall of an elvan dyke extending from Great South Wheal Seton and New Wheal Seton into the sett; South lode, trending NW and intersecting North lode, cropping out to the north. Engine Shaft, now replaced by a farmhouse, marks the given coordinates. Despite the A30 covering much of the workings, two overgrown dumps remain just south of the road, corresponding to Harvey’s and Hidderley shafts, where South lode was exploited. Additional shafts and dumps exist north of Engine Shaft and south of the bend on Treverno Road, with significant slag deposits discovered in the latter area. The section east of Rosewarne Terrace and north of the A30, identified as California Shaft by A.K. Hamilton Jenkin, is now completely built over. Production records indicate that from 1848 to 1890, the mine yielded 125,770 tons of 8.5% copper ore, 4,045 tons of black tin, 4,026 tons of arsenic, and 24 tons of pyrite. Most tin ore was extracted after 1875, with the dumps later reworked for fluorite during both world wars.
