This small tin mine, initially known as Wheal Damsel, was later renamed due to the plentiful presence of clear quartz, often referred to as ‘Cornish diamond’, in the lode. It operated a southeast-trending lode from two shafts, situated approximately 300 yards north of Trevagean Vean. The coordinates provided denote an overgrown dump that still exists in the corner of a field.
