This mine exploited two lodes, with one trending east-northeast and the other northeast, situated on Chycoose Downs, southwest of Bissoe. Henwood mentioned the presence of an elvan in the sett, which was noted for its significant tin yield. One of the shafts was identified as ‘South Nangiles Mine’ in 1870. Operating under the name ‘Bissoe Bridge Mine’ from 1833 to 1839, the mine extracted a total of 44 tons of black tin during this period.
