Three adits, engine shaft and open cut.

Bick thinks this mine corresponds to the Mine Adventurers’ Gayre, and to W.W. Smythe’s Bryn y Gaer.

Year Activity
1868 Operated by Aberdaunant Lead Mining Co, mine agent Henry Francis.
1871 Francis reports good ore in western levels. 30’ water wheel and crusher installed, with water passing through a leat through a 200 yard cutting in solid rock.
early 1870s 119 tons of lead ore, 32 tons of blende returned.
1876 Worthless shares receive boost by the nearby Van mine being at peak production. Three eastward adits and cross cut to south lode at Browlwm. 71fm engine shaft commenced to try lode 40fm below adit.
1879 Despite purchase of 16HP for pumping, poor quality of the lode meant closure.
