This iron mine, occasionally called ‘New Langham Mine’, was connected to the West Somerset Mineral Railway (WSMR) via a siding. It was established around 1875, marking the final addition to the mining landscape in the area at that time. However, its operations ceased in 1883. Today, there are hardly any visible remnants or traces left to indicate the mine’s former existence.
