Site levelled, part used as local rubbish tip. Chimney is intact, and has adit behind it driven on a vein of quartz and nothing else.
Stone hammers may indicate ancient working.

1846 | Conditions not being suitable for water power, a 36inch rotative water engine is installed by a Mr West. Flat rods connected to 28fm Engine Shaft and planned to pump Fearon’ Shaft. Also powered stamps. Only few tons or ore raised and company founders following a poor report by Captain J Paull of Tavistock. |

c 1850 | A new company called Taliesyn starts work, but they have to re-equip the mine follwing sale of assets. ‘Puffer’ engine obtained from Aberystwyth foundry and installed by a Mr Green. |
1854 | Bottoms drained. |
1856 | 232 of lead ore sold after drainage. This though was not a massive profit, so owners decide to raise capital by forming a company. Steam power having proved expensive, proposal to pump via flat rods across the marsh from a wheel at Taliesyn. Venture foundered and ended up in Court fo Chancery. |
