A sequence of shallow excavations, open-pits, and brief adits lies to the east of a diminutive limestone quarry bearing the same nomenclature. The arrangement of these excavations suggests the presence of two meandering veins, accompanied by associated replacement deposits within the Hardrow Scar Limestone, exhibiting localized fluoritization. Abundant fluorite specimens can be recovered from the discarded material, albeit typically manifesting crystalline structures seldom exceeding 10 mm in dimension. These crystals exhibit a spectrum of colors spanning from yellow to deep mauve-purple and colorless, frequently displaying notable translucency.
