A drainage channel, originating from the northwest, runs beneath the Rhosesmor-Halkyn road and continues downhill in a southeast direction towards the former mine area.
Following Clwyd County Council ’s Derelict Land Reclamation Scheme implemented in the 1970s, the site now consists mainly of bulldozed waste, with few remnants of its industrial past. The entire sett was historically drained by the Deep Level Tunnel,
In 1928, the mine became part of the Halkyn District United Mines sett, integrating it into a broader network of mining operations. The company used an underground diesel railway system.
