Small operation from around 1857 to 1863, with the aim of exploiting the purported western end of the South Lady Bertha copper lode. Adits were driven into the hillside at river level as part of this endeavor. Documentary and cartographic evidence indicate that the remains of adits, a shaft, and spoil heap may still exist as surface features, providing tangible evidence of the mining activities conducted during this period.
