Only earthworks remain today in the area to the southeast of Moel-y-crio, with the Bryngwiog Vein continuing eastward toward Moel-y-gaer Hillfort at coordinates SJ 2010 6910.

The Plasyresgob Company operated from 1897 to 1897 on the same sett as the Plas Winter Mining Company. The mine began its operations in an effort to locate the Bryngwiog Vein, which lay to the east of the Nant-figallt fault.

The Plas Winter Mining Company, a large operation, made significant returns from lead and silver mining and employed a sizable workforce from 1888 to 1913. In 1906, it became part of the Bryngwiog Mine, which spanned approximately 265 acres of mineral rights to the south of Moel-y-crio.
