Old Beam Mine, also referred to as Great Beam Mine, was located in the northwestern corner of the Goonbarrow China Clay Works, where certain lodes were visible. Originating as a china clay works prior to 1830, it later transitioned to underground tin mining. Historical production records indicate that between 1852 and 1871, the mine extracted 375 tons of tin. However, operations were halted in 1872, and ultimately, Beam ceased operations entirely in 1874.
