The location of Wheal Florence is primarily situated northeast of Florence Road and has since been repurposed into a camping site. Remaining remnants of the engine house seem to have been integrated into the design of the Engine House Cafe, appropriately named after the mining structure. During its operation, the mine extracted various minerals, including tin, arsenic ore, pyrite, copper ore, and a small quantity of lead ore, as well as yielding 899 ounces of silver. Although some small dumps of mining waste are still visible within parts of the site, they are located on private property and may not be accessible for collection. In 1942-1943, the area was re-prospected for wolfram.
