A group of mines located on the borders of several civil parishes in Cornwall: Perranuthnoe, St Hilary, Germoe, and Breage. Among them, St Aubyn and Grylls Mine, situated south of Great Western Mine in Breage parish, were also worked together with this group. Although close together and interconnected underground, most of these mines operated independently at various times. The mines exploited the same lodes and had overlapping plans, indicating changes in sett boundaries over time. The early history of these mines and the nature of their deposits are not well-documented. Private miners primarily worked the shallow depths to extract tin and copper ores, with attempts to scale up operations proving unsuccessful.
