Worked a main vein trending northeast-southwest in Silurian rocks, with mineralisation including zinc, lead, pyrite, and chalcopyrite.
The deep adit can be seen at SN 9792 7953. The upper shaft has been filled and was not located, while the lower shaft, located just below the road at SN 9765 7930, has also been filled. The blocked upper level at SN 9730 7905 is still identifiable.
The mine complex also had a carpenter’s and smith’s shop, along with storehouses and two cottages. The foundations of these structures are still visible and have been partially re-used in farm buildings along the farm track at SN 9740 7915.
