Founded c1870 and utilising the local clay deposits Upholland Brick & Tile Works was taken over by Ravenhead Sanitary Pipe & Brick Co. Ltd
In the 1970s sold to Steetleys who renamed the site Ravenead Brickworks. Eventually part of Ibstock Brick Ltd. in the 1990sand shut down in 2023.

Site is to become a residential development of approximately 300 houses.
