An expansive region characterized by bell pits, superficial excavations, and heaps of discarded material—some of which have been leveled and reclaimed by vegetation—extends westward from the pathway adjacent to Greenhaw hut. Notably, several heaps situated at the southwestern extremity of the mining operations are predominantly composed of discarded witherite.
