Bricked-up adit in the woods, opposite the school and beneath the disused railway track. It was developed in 1869 by the Lydbrook Deep Collieries Company Ltd and was used to drain Pludds Colliery.

This mine has been re-opened by Mervyn Bradley. The haulage engine is housed in a converted bulk tank. In summer 2000 a second dipple was being driven to a coal face which is some 75 m from the surface.
