A wide adit entrance directly adjacent to the footpath. A blind drive, heading about 100m into the hill, with a slight bend Southwards.
It is of modern construction, and local legend has it that this was intended to alleviate the dewatering problems at Stencoose and Mawla, however it is a long way off the workings.
