This small sett is just to the north east of Gwaynllifon adjacent to a forest track. It consists of an overgrown, fenced off area. There are a couple of open stopes and shafts sunk along the Red Lode - the likely southern extension of the Gors Lode.
An early Gwydyr mine possibly dating to 17C. Worked intermitently in the early 19C, becoming part of the Gwaynllifon sett around 1850. During the 1860s an abortive effort was made to sink on the vein to reach the Gwaynllifon Deep Adit.
It is not recommended to enter the fenced off area where a prolific growth of heather obscures the presence of deep holes,
