Several lead lodes worked by 5-6 adits, some from near the main road.
Remains inlcude a wheel pit and a leat.

1745 | Miners sank a shallow shaft into a 5“ solid rob of galena. |
1855 | Worked sporadically for a couple of years 32 tons of lead sold. |
1860 | Worked again, but for sale as this Mining Jouirnal notice announced: ‘The above mine has been worked by the present proprietors for nearly 3 years, and the machinery for pumping, crushing, and dressing the ore is of the best description, and is in perfect working order’, then going on to say ‘Upwards of £5,000 has been expended in the erection of the m achinery and the development of the mine. The shaft is suk to 26fms. In the level in the bottom of the lode is worth from 15 to 20 cwts. per fm. The lode in the 20fm. level is also worth from 15 to 20 cwts. per fm. There is an abundant supply of water, and the royalty is moderate. - For further particulars, applt to the Secretary at the offices, Claremont Hill, Shrewsbury.’. Nothing came of this. |
1879 | Attempt at promotion where it was claimed that previoulsy farmers and tradesmen had raised 3,114 of rich silver-lead ore. |
