The Brandy Bottle Mine, worked intermittently between 1679 and 1867, and possibly earlier and later, yielded a variety of minerals. In Hard Level, the North vein yielded notable strontianite sprays up to 15 mm in size. Old Rake Level produced iridescent sphalerite on white cockscomb Baryte, as well as pale yellow fluorite and white/grey strontianite masses, also up to 15 mm. In 2003, a sub-level here revealed the rare minerals ktenasite and gearksutite. Some of the finest cerussites from Yorkshire originated from the Brandy Bottle Mine, particularly from an area at the bottom of the incline. These specimens feature delicate white platy crystals with good lustre, often on iron-stained Baryte. Other minerals found in the mine include Baryte, hemimorphite, aurichalcite, siderite, and witherite.
