Now a local nature reserve.

Worked on a small scale from the 1850s. Most output was in the twentieth century.
1952 bought by Cawood Wharton & Co. Ltd who commissioned a series of aerial photographs (see link)
Shut by Redland Aggregates in 1982 and some remediation work to stabilise the faces etc was carried out.
