Prince Patrick North Mine operated in the area north of the Pentre Halkyn to Babell Road, extending to the north and east of Pant-y-groes at SJ18507260. The site now consists of overgrown shafts and spoil mounds scattered across rough pastureland, which has occasionally been used as a dumping ground for household waste. The workings extend northward toward a series of limekilns at Waenbrodlas, situated to the west of the Pen-yr-Henblas Quarry.
