Mill driven by 200hp water turbine fed by 1.5km long water course. Another 11hp pelton wheel at Fron Goch operated an aerial ropeway carrying waste for processing.

c mid 18C End of mining.
c1916 Ruins by the river mark the site of relatively recent processing of Fron Goch waste dumps for lead and zinc during WW1.
> 1918 Welsh Mines Corporation installed flotation plant under the management of R.R. Nancarrow of Pontrhydygroes. Also proposed 400m crosscut to the Gwaithgoch lode abd 750m one further to north - both of which came to nothing. Company soon closed due to large falls in metal prices.
late 1920s Increase in metal prices prompts another company to process more of the dumps uintil another fall in prices and the final abandinment of the mines.
