Lode is indicated by the positions of several shafts and cuttings across Pen Bannau. There is an adit with a dressing floor and large dumps. Also the remains of a wheelpit for pumping Western Shaft, and also the concrete base for a turbine from more recent times.

Year Activity
1855 Bronberllan, with little more than a 18’ water wheel and a wooden railway underground.
1856 Named Abbey Consols. Manager Capt. Edward Williams states that a leat was to be built from Teifi Pools to carry water for driving a water wheel position between the western and eastern shafts, to be used for pumping and winding.
