Lode runs east to west within the shales and slates of the Silurian Gwestyn Formation.
Workings include six levels descending the steep slopes of Llechwedd Y Cwm from east to west, with a trial shaft located at the base of the slope at SN 8098 9427. A steep zig-zag path connects five of the levels, likely serving as the primary haulage route. At the foot of the slope, remnants of round buddles and ore bins are still visible.
