West Stray Park Mine, a copper and tin mine, commenced operations in 1850 and ceased production in 1874. The mine exploited two main lodes: North Lode and South Lode. North Lode was accessed via Engine Shaft, while South Lode was reached through crosscuts from the workings on North Lode.

Remnants of the mine, including burrows, can still be found in the fields north of the road leading from Killivose to Camborne Beacon. Over the span of its active years from 1854 to 1874, West Stray Park Mine yielded 3,655 tons of copper ore with an average grade of 7.5% and 2 tons of black tin.
