Small mine situated west of the road leading to United Downs, it operated by exploiting seven lodes trending northeast. These lodes spanned approximately 550 yards across a narrow stretch of land. While five of these lodes were accessed through shafts, the depth of the workings doesn’t seem to have reached far beyond the adit level. Mount Wellington Ltd. acquired the mine after 1935. In 1940, some exploration work took place at the Wheal Jewel shaft, but no further development ensued. The provided coordinates correspond to the location of the Wheal Jewel shaft, identified by a sizable depression in a field just west of Sunny Corner.
